Burn More Fat

Here are a few simple ways to naturally boost your metabolism so you can burn more calories throughout the day and get yourself ready for the beach this summer!!

1. Hit the weights hard!
- Intense circuit style strength training will crank up your heart rate far more than traditional cardio. Lifting heavy weights will also elevate testosterone and human growth hormone levels.

2. Eat enough protein!
- Consuming enough lean protein from sources like fish and poultry will help preserve and build new muscle which will increase your basal metabolic rate and allow you to burn more calories.

3. Get more sleep!
- While we are sleeping our body releases a big dose of the fat burning, muscle building, anti-aging human growth hormone. So make sure you are getting at least 7-8 hours every night.

4. Less grains, more produce!
 - By replacing refined carbs and grains with high fibre vegetables and low glycemic fruits, you will lower acidity levels in your body and optimize your metabolism.

5. Take some fish oil!
- You need to consume fat to burn fat. Omega-3 fatty acids will help decrease inflammation and optimize cell membrane function to accelerate efficient metabolic processes and brain function.

6. Chill out & relax!
- Take some time for yourself.. relax, unwind and do activities that you enjoy. Lowering your stress levels will dramatically lower cortisol levels. Excess cortisol can lead to fat storage in the mid-section.. so the less cortisol you have in your system the better!
