Marlaena, my friend Jordy and I competed in the third annual Nutts Cup last weekend. The Nutts Cup is a charity event that takes place every summer at CrossFit Vancouver
in memory of Lt. Andrew Nuttall. Andy died in the line of duty a few years ago serving his country in Afghanistan.
This is definitely one of the highlights of the summer and the event and gets bigger and better every year. It was a team competition again this year with teams being comprised of two guys and one girl. This year there were 45 teams from all of B.C., Vancouver Island and Washington State.
We've been lucky enough to take part in all three Nutts Cups and I have to say that this one was by far my favourite! The competition was fierce, the workouts were brutal (but fun) and the entire day was an absolute blast!
It was really cool to see so many people get together for such a good cause, to pay their respects to a man most of them never had the chance to meet and to sweat it out like crazy just for the hell of it! The Party Rockers will definitely be back again next year!!
I posted a few pics on the TWMO
Facebook page and will put a full album together in a couple weeks once Mar and I get back from our belated honeymoon!
