Weight Loss And Toning
Hi im at 26 year old female, I am trying to lose up to 60 pounds. I just had a baby 5 1/2 months ago and im finding it to hard to come off. I have been going to the gym 4 times a week and im stuck at the weight I am for a month now. If there is anything you can suggest that would help im glad to here it.

What do you usually do at the gym, a mix of weights and cardio?
If weight loss is your main goal then I would suggest that you do cardio every time you're at the gym. I would do 2 days of steady state cardio (same speed, long duration) for at least 30-45 minutes and 2 days of high intensity interval training. With the interval training, I would suggest doing 30 seconds of a fast run/sprint followed by 30 seconds of rest. Try to do 10-15 intervals each session and jump on and off the treadmill in between each one so you don't have to adjust the speed every 30 seconds. With a warm-up and cool down these interval sessions should last about 20-25 minutes.
After you finish your cardio I would suggest you do the beginner weight loss and toning program.

It consists of 3 challenging workouts each week that are designed to elevate your heart rate, burn calories and shed fat! Do this program 3x/week and maybe add an extra day of core conditioning or spend some time stretching.
If you stick to this weekly schedule, keep very consistent with your cardio and follow and calorie restricted, clean and healthy diet, you will definitely start seeing some results!!

I have been trying to lose weight as well so I too also added cardio into my daily routine. I saw some results but it was my diet that was holding me back. I start making egg white omelets for breakfast and cut back on my carbohydrate intake. An egg white omelet barely has any calories in it but the protein content is really high so I started losing weight and at the same time I saw a decline in my day after working soreness. Cutting back on my carbohydrate intake was tough at first but the longer I do it the easier it is. With these two plans of attack implemented I have lost 5 pounds in one month. I am not starving myself and my workout routine couldn't be better. I signed up for the Nashville Tough Mudder in June 2014 as motivation so I don't fall off the healthy wagon! I would recommend signing up for something later this year so that you are driven to keep working hard. Good luck and I hope my input helps!
