The lateral band side step is a beginner lower body exercise that targets the butt and thighs.

The exercise band is used in resistance training. The bands comes in a variety of colours depending on the amount of tension they offer. The exercise bands give constant resistance throughout the entire range of motion during an exercise and cause less stress on the joints.

Exercise Instructions

Step 1

Step on the band with both feet and start with your feet about hip width apart.

Step 2

Hold the band in your hands to determine the amount of tension. Step out to the side, plant your heel and pull your other foot over so your are hip width again.

Repeat for recommended number of reps or specified amount of time.
