The side plank underside twist is an intermediate exercise that targets that obliques. This exercise should only be done after the static side plank can be maintained properly for at least 30 seconds.

Exercise Instructions

Step 1

Start in a side plank position. Make sure that your elbow is in line with your shoulder and your body weight is being supported by your underside obliques.

Step 2

Twist under your body and reach as far as you can on the other side with out breaking form.

Rotate back and press your arm back up towards the ceiling.
