MUSCLES ENGAGED Glutes Gluteal Muscles (Glutes) are one of the strongest muscles in the body and are the connecting point between your legs and back muscles. Glutes are used in a variety of actions from moving the leg to extending and rotating the hip, as well as extending and rotating the trunk of the body. Exercise Instructions Step 1 Start on the mat with one leg pulled up in front of you with your shin parallel with the front of the mat. Step 2 With both hands in front of you and your chest up nice and proud, slowly walk yourself out as far as you can. Step 3 Once you have gone out as far as you can, relax into the position and then slowly walk yourself back up to the starting position.
