Walkout Hip Stretch

The walkout hip stretch is an intermediate level exercise that opens up your hip and stretches your glutes.

Gluteal Muscles (Glutes) are one of the strongest muscles in the body and are the connecting point between your legs and back muscles. Glutes are used in a variety of actions from moving the leg to extending and rotating the hip, as well as extending and rotating the trunk of the body.

Exercise Instructions

Step 1

Start on the mat with one leg pulled up in front of you with your shin parallel with the front of the mat.

Step 2

With both hands in front of you and your chest up nice and proud, slowly walk yourself out as far as you can.

Step 3

Once you have gone out as far as you can, relax into the position and then slowly walk yourself back up to the starting position.
